- Which Dubai City Tour Packages Can You Choose in September?

The Dubai city tour package that you must take in September is created around the clock, not the map. The packages that will work are half-day evening tours (the temperatures are still around 39C in the first half of September), full-day tours (the attractions become weighted towards the inside) and private chauffeur-driven tours (where the air conditioning does not turn off between attractions). Group coach tours and hop-on-hop-off buses are not recommended this month. The best vehicle to take is a private car with a driver waiting outside each stop.
With the arrival of September, here’s what you can actually book and how much each package will cost you, along with how to plan a day so no one in your group is standing outside at 2pm in 39°C waiting for a bus.
Numbers first, because the marketing photographs of the Marina at golden hour don’t give you the idea of the air being cool.
September is a generally hot day with average highs at 39°C, which will ease to about 38°C in the final 10 days of the month. The lowest night temperatures are around 26°C to 30°C so the pavement does not get that cold. The sea temperature stays at around 33°C (hotter than a heated pool), which means that a beach stop is a nice one at 7am and a not so nice one at 1pm. It’s a day with about 10 hours of sunshine and practically no rain. Humidity is the aspect that people overlook, and it is around 60-70% for most of the month, and is far worse at 39°C and 65% humidity than at 42°C and 0% humidity.
The UAE’s summer time ban on outdoor work, which allows outdoor workers to only work before 12:30pm or after 3:00pm in July and August, will continue until 15 September. There’s a reason for this rule and it serves as a helpful guide for tourists as well. If the government prohibits working outside during those hours, then perhaps a walking tour of the Gold Souk when that time should also be avoided!
The winter weather is calm in the first half of the month. Schools have just reopened, plenty of people are still on vacation and hotel prices haven’t increased. Those attractions that remain open are virtually empty. If you want to capture the Burj Khalifa observation deck, but you don’t want everyone in the picture, then this is one of the favorite times to visit the calendar.
The cost is that you need to limit outdoor time. Don’t expect 10-15 minutes outside the car each stop, but 45.

The Turn is held in late September (16-30th).
The third week brings a change in the situation. Highs drop into the 36-37C range, after 7pm it’s a real pleasant evening out in the city and some outdoor venues are reopening. Beach clubs begin their broadcasting. The furniture was returned to the restaurant terraces. Rates at the hotel start to rise from the December to March lows but are not yet at the peak.
If there is time flexibility, then take the second week of September rather than the first. Same city, clearly better weather and prices which have not yet reflected the weather. Here’s our true advice to you if you’re wondering which two weeks to choose.
It is here that most September tours fail, and it is the number one most useful thing on this page.
Three of Dubai’s biggest outdoor activities are closed for the entire month of September:
Global Village has ended with its final season in October 2026. At the time of writing the exact opening day has not been announced, usually this falls in the middle of October.
Dubai Miracle Garden will be shut for its summer holiday renovations. It has opened again in some years in the last week of September but for 2026–27 there is no set date. Don’t believe any September date you see on the Internet.
Dubai Safari Park is rumoured to be returning for Season 8 in October 2026.
We continue to receive requests for a Global Village drop-off each September. We’ll let you know it’s closed before you pay, but there are many travellers who make their Dubai trip plan with these three already checked off.
Fixed “off-the-shelf” tours are not available for sale. If you purchase a pre-determined package, this means you are not able to control where you stop and the amount of time spent at each stop and in September, that is costly. Instead, we quote by vehicle and by block of hours, and then create the route to go around the must-sees.
However, there are repetitions. These are the 8 packages our September clients tend to book the most and who they are best suited for.
The default September booking. Five hours in a private car and driver including Dubai Downtown, Dubai Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Dubai Fountain, Dubai Frame and a Jumeirah coastal drive past Burj Al Arab.
Do not start it at 9 o’clock in the morning but at 3pm. The indoor stops will be covered during the hottest part of the day, you will be on the Fountain at 6pm for the show, and then you’ll be back at the skyline looking at the show. The same five hours but a whole new experience. If you’re an early riser, 7am-12pm will get you Old Dubai in reasonable conditions, but the afternoon-into-evening is the sort we’d recommend for September.
Ideal for: novices, couples, those with one free day on business.
Ten hours, one car, both halves of the city, one driver. Morning in Old Dubai in the shade of the alleys, a long day of an air conditioned lunch, and the evening in Downtown and the Marina.
The value is at the full-day rate. The Lexus ES 300H costs AED 700 for 10 hours, compared to the five hours (with AED 400). In the case of a day trip a family of four of you is AED 175 a person a private chauffeured tour is cheaper than four seats on most group tours and the comfort that you would get from that difference is invaluable.
No tech wielders allowed: for families, first-timers with only so many days, or those who want Old and New Dubai in one.
Al Fahidi Historical District, Textile Souk, Abra crossing over Dubai Creek, Gold Souk and Spice Souk in Deira. About 60 per cent of this takes place on foot and so timing in September is not an option.
It is booked 6pm to 11pm. The souks do not cease to be busy late, the abra does not stop running until the evening and the Creek breeze after dark is one of the better things about a Dubai September. This tour at 11am isn’t a pleasant experience and we’ll tell you as much when you ask.
Ideal for: Returning customers, photographers, those who found Downtown to be a tad too slick.
The September specialist. They pick up at 4.30pm at Dubai Frame or Museum of the Future (light time), Burj Khalifa observation deck (sunset time), Fountain show (light), then slow drive through Dubai Marina, Bluewaters Island and JBR with a stop to dinner on the promenade (light).
The time of sunset varies throughout the month, from approximately 6.50 pm at the beginning of the month to approximately 6.20 pm by the 30th, and this time is used to work out the pick-up time. There are no sections on this walk where you have to be in full sun.
For those who are sensitive to heat, elderly, or travelling with a small child, this is the package to choose. The one we recommend most in September and are most popular with clients afterwards.
September is the only time for evening safaris. When it gets really hot, like 38°C in the morning, things are not fun and we don’t want you to go through it.
The structure is that the chauffeur is at your hotel at about 3:30pm and drives you out to the conservation reserve where you are handed over to the 4×4 operator for dune bashing, camel rides and the camp dinner before being picked up to drive back in at about 9:30pm. You do not share a minibus with strangers going on a two hour pickup circuit, as is typical of the bundled safari deals.
Best For: families with older kids and groups looking to experience the desert without the logistics of sharing one shuttle for the entire group.
The perfect way to spend a full day in Dubai’s hottest month, and it’s not Dubai. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan and Emirates Palace are all air-conditioned or heavily shaded and the 130km drive down the E11 will be 90 minutes of chilled cabin time each way.
The first thing we did at Grand Mosque was tour the marble courtyard while it was still cool, then continued to the Louvre in the middle of the day, and then back to Dubai for dinner at Qasr Al Watan in late afternoon. It fits in a ten-hour block quite nicely. Our Private Dubai to Abu Dhabi Taxi conducts a similar trip but without the sightseeing building.
Ideal for: culture lovers, repeat visitors, and those who have already been Downtown.
Same car, same chauffeur, several consecutive days. By day two, your driver has memorized your preferred entrance at Dubai Mall, and how long you actually spend in a gift shop, and everything goes quicker.
This is a typical build for September and it features a 3 day trip that includes Old Dubai, Modern Dubai in the downtown area and an evening desert safari on day 2 and a trip to Abu Dhabi on day 3. You may be offered better per day rates when booking multi-day trips than if you book three different one-off trips.
Ideal for: longer visits, families and business visitors with a few days to spare for leisure.
After four adults, a sedan isn’t practical anymore due to the luggage, shopping carts and pushchairs, and the amount of cool air required to blow through a fully loaded cabin.
We fit you in a Kia Carnival, Toyota Previa or Mercedes V250 to travel for 6-7 people. 8-12 fit in a Toyota Hiace or a 14 seater high roof. Groups of 22 or 30 people ride in a Toyota Coaster. Our Dubai for 7 seater car rentals includes the details about the mid-size vehicles, all of which are available with a driver.
Here’s a September tip: request that the car be pre-cooled. It takes 15 minutes to be comfortable in a van that’s parked in direct sunlight for 2 hours, and 15 minutes with hot children is a long time. Our drivers take this as a matter of course when they are aware of the pick-up time.
The rates are not per passenger, but per vehicle, and cover the chauffeur, fuel, Salik road toll and standard parking. A half day equals 5 hours, a full day equals 10 hours.
Vans, minibuses and coaches are available on enquiry we will quote the right size van, minibus or coach for the size of your group and will not oversell you as we are certain you do not need the biggest van!
Chauffeur for entire block of time including time waiting while in an attraction. Fuel. The salik that charges along Sheikh Zayed Road quickly adds up, especially when it is crossed multiple times. Standard parking. Bottled water. Pick up and drop off anywhere in Dubai, including Downtown hotels, Dubai Marina apartments and the terminal if you are traveling directly from the terminal.
Attraction tickets – Burj Khalifa, the Museum of the Future, Louvre Abu Dhabi and all the others are yours to buy, and advance online purchase is not only cheaper but also quicker than in the queue at the counter. Meals. Add-on time outside the scheduled time, at hourly rates. The charges levied on entry to the emirates for Abu Dhabi or Sharjah or the northern emirates, are Emirate-border surcharges, which take into account the additional distance and return leg.
We will quote the full price before you make a deposit. There should be no mental calculations in the back of a car.
Maps that have been ridden multiple times and the timing that works for each.
This is the most important month of the year when it comes to vehicle choice, and it will take 2 minutes of your time to consider before booking.
Passengers 2-3. The Lexus ES 300H at AED 400 for five hours is the logical choice, and the hybrid doesn’t let go of the cabin’s warmth in the stop-start traffic on Downtown. If rear-seat comfort is important, move up to the BMW 730Li or Mercedes S-Class for more than just better glass and a quieter ride; there is extra legroom, too. The Bentley is an occasion car, as is the Rolls-Royce, and the photo outside the Burj Al Arab is an occasion car.
Four to six passengers. AED 1,400 for half a day Mercedes GL 500, or a Kia Carnival or Toyota Previa on request. Three rows, a real luggage space and sufficient air-conditioning for a fully-loaded cabin in September temperature, which a saloon with five adults really finds difficult.
Seven to fourteen. A Toyota Hiace, a Citroën Spacetourer or a 14-seater high roof. Don’t if you’re travelling in two cars one of them will keep the group together and will be cheaper than the two sedans.
Fifteen to thirty. Toyota Coaster (22 or 30 seats with a chauffeur) was used to transporting tour groups.
If you prefer to have the car and driver available for several days, but without a fixed tour route, then hire a car and driver in Dubai on a daily or monthly basis. Many of our September clients begin with a city tour and then when they see how much walking they have avoided, they extend their chauffeur days into open-ended days.
It is a quick process.
Message or call the team on +971 58 107 2614 or +971 4 3858433, or email booking@wllimo.com. Include dates, number in party, hotel or pick-up location and anything else specific you want to see. If you have no idea of a route, mention it we’ve been driving this city for years and will create one around your interests.
We return with vehicle options, availability and all inclusive quote. You confirm the package and give a deposit to secure the date. Your driver’s name and phone number will be sent via email or WhatsApp as confirmation. The car will be at your pick-up location on the day, cooled and ready when you call.
Lead time: 2-3 days preparation is okay in early September. Make reservations 7-10 days in advance for the final week of the month. That’s when the season changes, demand increases and the bigger vehicles get the first crack at the season.
If you arrive the same day as your trip, please let us know in advance. Enjoy it with a Dubai airport transfer service with meet and greet where the driver arranges the pick up at the terminal, drop off at the hotel and the tour as well. More information of the sightseeing service is available on our Dubai city tour with a private chauffeur and the full range of vehicles and the current rates.
Making reservations for unattractive places. All of the Global Village, Miracle Garden and Dubai Safari Park will be closed for the month. Do research before creating a tour plan with them.
Tour begins at 10am. The hottest part of your trip will be at the hottest part of your route, when everyone has 5 hours left. Start the early or start the late.
Selecting an open top bus. The hop-on-hop-off buses can be handy November through March. The upper deck in September is not usable, and there is no shade on the pavement between the services.
Undersizing the vehicle. It is legal and technically fits to have five adults in a saloon. It’s the gripe we hear most when the temperature is 39°C with shopping bags and a boot laden with suitcases.
The cool down stops if it is not planned. The ideal route for September is done alternately outdoors and indoors every 40 minutes. People end the day short when they make three stops outdoors in a row.
Yes, with a caveat. Short queues at Burj Khalifa, hotel discounts well off the peak season, restaurant availability without two weeks’ wait and a significantly less-crowded city. The catch is that you’re not supposed to ignore the heat; you have to work with it.
If you’re only considering the weather, book in November. If you prefer to have the city all to yourself and are ready to go at the times you need, book September. Our September bookings have been increasing at a faster rate than months of the year other than winter, and it’s because we have a private driver waiting for us at each stop.
For the majority of visitors the half day evening tour is the best option during September. A 3pm to 8pm block makes it a cool time to visit Museum of the Future, Dubai Frame, Dubai Mall and the Fountain show without the heat. The price from AED 400 is for a Lexus ES 300H with a driver, for up to three passengers.
If the heat is taken into account, September can be good. The average daytime high is 39°C so indoor activities and night outings are a must. The advantages are that they can avoid long lines at Burj Khalifa, avoid the winter hotel fees, and the city is far less noisy. The end of September is definitely cooler than the beginning.
Half day tours (5 hours) begin at AED 400 and full day tours (10 hours) start at AED 700 per vehicle. The prices for premium options range from AED 1,000 for Mercedes S-Class up to AED 5,000 for a full day in a Rolls-Royce. Chauffeur, tolls, fuel and parking are covered.
No. Global Village was cancelled after Season 30 and will be back in October 2026 in Season 31, the exact date will be revealed nearer to the event. Additionally, Dubai Miracle Garden and Dubai Safari Park will also remain shut until the end of September. Plan for September activities inside the building.
From 4pm to 10pm. The temperature begins to drop from 5pm, the Sun sets between 6:20pm and 6.50pm depending on the date and the Dubai Fountain shows start from 5pm. Alternatively, early mornings from 7am to 10am are great, especially for Old Dubai and the souks.
Yes. We don’t sell fixed routes or sell you predetermined stops, you pick the stops and the time spent at each stop. The team briefs the chauffeur in the sequence they wish to see. For the same group, you can also adjust the route during the tour, depending on the group’s energy.
A Lexus ES 300H can easily accommodate three people. The Mercedes GL 500 requires five to six. Vans up to 12-seaters can be found, such as the Toyota Hiace, and Toyota Coasters come in 22-, 30-seater varieties. All vehicles have a professional driver.
No. Rate includes covering of the vehicle, chauffeur, fuel, Salik tolls, parking and waiting time. Tickets to enter Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, Museum of the Future, etc., are sold on a separate basis. Online tickets tend to be less expensive and you won’t have to deal with lineups.
Yes, and one of the best September choices. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qasr Al Watan are air conditioned and the 130km drive each way is a comfortable cabin time. It is covered by a ten hour block, plus an emirate border surcharge.
The first half of September should be two to three days. After about 20 September it is best to book seven to ten days in advance as this is the turn of season where demand increases and larger cars, like vans and coasters, are the first to sell out. Evenings on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays tend to be the most popular times of the week.
