- Winter City in Dubai and Limousine Rental Dubai- A Perfect Duo

Winter City runs at Al Wasl Plaza in Expo City Dubai, and Expo City’s own page for it gives the dates as 6 to 31 December. That is twenty-six consecutive evenings in the part of Dubai furthest from where most visitors are staying, which makes the journey the part of the plan worth settling first.
Expo City sits out in the Dubai South area. From Downtown or the Marina it is a long drive in each direction, and the leg that catches families is the one back, late, with tired children and a boot full of whatever came home from Santa’s Toy Factory. White Line Limousine LLC has run December evenings in Dubai since 2011, and this guide covers what the venue has published about the festival, what it has left blank, and how to book the transport so the drive does not undo the evening.
These are worth separating. The detail for the current edition was still thin when we checked the venue’s own page on 15 October 2026, and a confidently written article is no substitute for the source.
Published on Expo City Dubai’s Winter City page: the venue as Al Wasl Plaza, the dates as 6 to 31 December, Santa’s Toy Factory with TOYS ‘R’ US, and Mrs. Claus running festive crafts and cookie decorating. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster and entry carries a published starting price.
Not published there when we looked: the opening hours, the full admission tiers, and the separate pricing the page lists as a category for 20 to 31 December without filling in amounts. The page also gives the dates without naming a year.
So check the venue page on the day you book. We are a transport company, and the festival’s hours and ticket prices are theirs to publish and not ours to guess at. What we can be definite about is the drive.
Most Dubai family outings run twenty or thirty minutes each way. This one runs considerably longer in both directions, and that single fact drives every other decision you make about the evening.
Expo City sits in the Dubai South area, well beyond the Marina on the Abu Dhabi side of the city. A family staying in Downtown, Deira or on the Palm faces a substantial run in each direction. In December. In the evening. During the busiest tourist month of the Dubai year.
Three things follow from that. Self-driving means doing the hard leg at the end, after three hours on your feet. A one-way ride-hail out means finding another one back, from a venue emptying several thousand people at closing time. And parking at a venue running twenty-six consecutive evenings is a different proposition on a quiet Tuesday from the 20 to 31 December stretch, which the venue itself prices separately.
Our limousine service in Dubai South covers the area, and the decision below is about which shape of booking suits the evening.
This is the choice that decides what the evening costs you. The whole decision turns on one question: when do you expect to leave?
Book an hourly block if you want the car there when you come out. The vehicle and chauffeur stay with you through the whole visit. You leave when your children are done instead of when a car becomes available, which on a December evening at a venue that size is the whole value.
Book two point to point journeys if your end time is truly unknown and you are happy to call for the return. You pay for two trips instead of a block of hours, and the trade is that you wait for the second car.
For a family with small children, the hourly block is almost always the right answer. The reason is specific: a child who is finished is finished, and the difference between leaving now and leaving in twenty-five minutes is the difference between a good evening and a bad memory of one.
Check the bag capacity before the seat count, because the two do not rise together across a fleet and a Christmas market sends people home with more than they arrived with.
The Citroen Spacetourer takes six passengers and seven bags, which is the useful combination for a family evening out with pushchairs, coats and whatever was bought. The Kia Carnival covers the mid-size group, and its published passenger and luggage figures sit on its own fleet page.
Tell us the ages of any children when you book. A child seat has to be fitted before the vehicle leaves the yard, and under UAE rules a child under four requires one, with a penalty of AED 400 and four black points charged to the driver. Child seats are arranged at the booking stage and not at the kerb.
We operate no stretch limousines, which on a venue approach road in December works in your favour.
Expo City is a long way out from almost anywhere a visitor stays. So the efficient version of this plan combines the festival with something else, instead of making the same long drive twice in one week.
December is the month Dubai’s outdoor season is fully open. Global Village reopened on 14 October and runs to May 2027. Dubai Parks reopened on 7 October, Miracle Garden on 8 October and Dubai Safari Park on 12 October. Several sit on the same side of the city as Expo City. That makes a daytime stop and an evening at Winter City one booking instead of two.
On an hourly block the chauffeur waits through both, so a Dubai city tour earlier in the day and Winter City after dark is a single ten-hour booking instead of four separate journeys.
Three numbers from our terms and conditions matter more in December than in any other month. The fleet is at its busiest, and plans with children change often.
Overruns are charged at the vehicle’s hourly rate and depend on that vehicle’s next commitment. In December the fleet is busy, so a car promised elsewhere at ten cannot stay until eleven. If the evening looks like running long, say so early in the block.
Cancellation is free twenty-four hours or more before pickup. Inside eight hours, or on a no-show, the booking is charged in full. With children and a month of changeable plans, the twenty-four hour mark is your decision point.
Book earlier than feels necessary. December is the busiest month of the year for chauffeured vehicles in Dubai, and the larger vehicles go first. An early booking costs nothing in flexibility because of the cancellation window.
Rates include the chauffeur, the fuel, the Salik tolls, the insurance, the VAT and the parking, with airport parking as the only exclusion. The run out to Expo City crosses toll gates and none of them reaches your invoice.
Expo City Dubai publishes the dates as 6 to 31 December at Al Wasl Plaza. The opening hours and the full admission tiers were not filled in on the venue’s page when we checked in mid-October, so confirm both there before you book transport around them.
At Al Wasl Plaza inside Expo City Dubai, in the Dubai South area. It is a long drive from Downtown, Deira, the Marina or the Palm, and the return leg late in the evening is the part worth planning.
Book an hourly block if you want the car waiting when you come out, which for a family with young children is almost always the right answer. Book two one-way journeys if your end time is genuinely unknown and you would rather call for the return.
Yes, arranged at the booking stage, since the seat has to be fitted before the vehicle leaves. Tell us the age of each child. A child under four requires a seat under UAE rules, and the penalty for travelling without one falls on the driver.
Further than you would in any other month. December is the busiest period of the year for chauffeured vehicles in Dubai and the larger vehicles are taken first. Free cancellation twenty-four hours before pickup means an early booking carries no penalty.
Yes. Salik tolls sit inside the published rate along with the fuel, the insurance, the VAT and the parking, so the route the chauffeur takes makes no difference to what you pay.
Tell us the date, the pickup address, how many passengers and bags, and the ages of any children. We will confirm the vehicle and the rate by email, and we will tell you whether an hourly block or two journeys costs you less for the evening you have described.
Confirm the festival’s hours and ticket prices on Expo City Dubai’s own page first, then book the transport around them. Our rent a car with driver companies carries the fleet and the current five-hour and ten-hour rates.
If the festival is one stop in a longer day, say so. We will price the whole day as one booking instead of several, and on an hourly block the chauffeur waits through every stop. That is usually cheaper than arranging each leg separately.
