Most bookings here are built from a handful of these, and each carries a practical detail worth sending at the enquiry stage. The emirate splits cleanly into three zones: the coast, where the resorts are, the old city around the Creek, and the mountains inland. A day that crosses all three is a ten hour booking, and a day inside one of them often needs only five hours.
Al Marjan Island. A man-made archipelago of four coral-shaped islands, Breeze, Treasure, Dream and View, extending 4.5 kilometres into the Arabian Gulf with around 7.8 kilometres of sandy beaches and a 23 kilometre waterfront corniche. Rixos Bab Al Bahr, DoubleTree by Hilton Resort and Spa Marjan Island and Al Marjan Island Hotel and Spa sit here, together accounting for a large share of the emirate’s five star rooms. Resort forecourts are generous, so vehicle size is rarely the constraint. The island also hosts the RAK Half Marathon each February, which changes access on the day.
Al Hamra. Al Hamra Waterfront, Al Hamra Golf Club and Al Hamra Mall, with the Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah Al Hamra Beach and Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort. The golf and marina side of the emirate, and the shorter run from Dubai of the two coastal clusters.
Jebel Jais. Covered above, and the one destination that needs its own section in any itinerary.
The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert. The desert resort, inland and a popular wedding venue. Access roads are different from the coastal runs and the approach is worth confirming when you book.
Bear Grylls Explorers Camp. In the Hajar Mountains, about an hour’s drive from Al Marjan Island, with abseiling, climbing, hiking, archery and survival courses. An early start, and the kit goes in the boot.
The National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah and Al Qassimi Palace. The heritage stop in the old city, and an efficient pairing with the Corniche.
Al Qawasim Corniche and Ras Al Khaimah Creek. The waterfront promenade and the abra crossings, which is the half day most first time visitors skip and later wish they had not.
Suwaidi Pearl Farm. The pearl diving heritage experience, booked ahead and worth building into a coastal day.
Saqr Park and Manar Mall. The family stops in the city, with Flipped Park at Manar Mall.
Al Rams Beach, Banan Beach and Jazirah Aviation Club. The quieter coastal options, and the microlight flights at Jazirah for anyone wanting the emirate from above.
For journeys continuing beyond the emirate, our Fujairah car with driver and Ajman chauffeur service cover the neighbouring emirates on the same basis.
Airport Transfers Into Ras Al Khaimah
Three airports feed the emirate and the right one depends on where you are flying from. Most international guests arrive at Dubai and drive north, but the emirate has its own airport and Sharjah sits usefully in between, so the choice is worth making while you are still booking flights.
Dubai International is where most Ras Al Khaimah guests land, and the transfer north is the 130 kilometre run described above. Send the flight number instead of an estimated landing time, because it lets us track the aircraft and move your pickup with it. Our Dubai airport transfer service covers the arrivals side in full, and our DXB limousine service handles the terminal detail.
Sharjah International sits closer to the northern emirates and is worth considering if your airline flies there, since the drive begins further along the route. Our Sharjah airport transfer page covers that side.
Ras Al Khaimah International, code RKT, is the shortest transfer in the emirate by a wide margin. It opened in 1976, runs two passenger terminal buildings, and is an operating base for Air Arabia, which holds a hub designation there. Air India Express and IndiGo also fly scheduled services, with routes including Cairo, Jeddah, Moscow, Tashkent, Kannur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Hyderabad and Kochi.
For a formal reception with a name board inside the terminal, our airport meet and greet service can be added at any of the three.
Weddings and Events in Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah has become a serious events destination, and the numbers below come from the emirate’s own tourism authority, not from our marketing. The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority reported 1.35 million overnight visitors in 2025, up 6 per cent, with tourism revenues up 12 per cent and revenue from MICE and weddings up 25 per cent. The authority is targeting more than 3.5 million visitors by 2030.
What that growth means for transport is specific. Wedding and conference work concentrates at a handful of venues, which means several vehicles arriving at one forecourt inside a narrow window.
Convoys are timed, not just booked. Several vehicles on the same date are scheduled to reach the venue in sequence instead of all at once, which is the difference between a smooth arrival and eight cars queuing at a resort gate. Say how many you need and the order you want them in.
The venue decides the vehicle. A desert resort approach and an island resort forecourt have different constraints, and a fourteen seat high roof will not go everywhere a saloon will. Name the venue at the enquiry stage.
We do not operate stretch limousines, and that suits these venues better. Ras Al Khaimah’s resort forecourts and the Jebel Jais road are not built for a stretch vehicle, and a Bentley or Rolls-Royce photographs better at a venue entrance than a stretch does halfway round a turning circle. If a stretch is specifically what you want, we will tell you plainly that it is outside what we run.
Corporate and conference groups usually set this up through our corporate chauffeur service and settle it as one account.
Hourly and Full Day Chauffeur Hire in Ras Al Khaimah
Our hire runs on two blocks, five hours and ten, and the distinction worth understanding is what the clock measures.
The block starts at your booked pickup time and runs continuously, whether the car is moving or waiting. That is the point of it. A day on the coast with three short runs and five hours at a resort is one ten hour booking, never three transfers with waiting charges stacked on top.
Hours past the block are charged at the vehicle’s hourly rate, named in your written quote before you confirm. We would rather tell you at the enquiry stage that a Jebel Jais day needs the ten hour block than sell you five and bill the overrun, because the mountain alone absorbs three hours of driving.
Two chauffeurs for a long day. Where a booking runs past a single driver’s hours, we assign a second, and that is planned at quotation and priced into the figure.
Our car with driver service in Dubai or Ras Al Khaimah sets out the same structure for city work, and our luxury transport service covers longer multi day arrangements.
What Is Coming to Ras Al Khaimah by 2027
Worth knowing if you are planning ahead, because it changes how early you should book. Ras Al Khaimah is in the middle of the largest hospitality expansion in its history, and the capacity arriving over the next two years is already affecting how far in advance peak dates get committed.
Wynn Al Marjan Island is scheduled to open in 2027 with 1,530 rooms and suites, and it will house the first casino in the United Arab Emirates. The wider Marjan Beach development is planned to add many thousands more hotel keys. Set against the tourism authority’s target of more than 3.5 million visitors by 2030, the emirate is on course for a substantial increase in arrivals.
For a booking today that has two consequences. Vehicle availability on peak dates will tighten, particularly for multi-vehicle wedding and conference work, so the window for booking late is closing. And the coastal cluster around Al Marjan Island will become the emirate’s centre of gravity, which makes it the sensible base for a trip combining the beach and the mountain.
Who Books a Car With Driver in Ras Al Khaimah
Resort guests at Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra, who find after a day that a beach resort is a long way from a taxi rank and that the car is the difference between seeing the emirate and seeing the hotel. Hotels arranging this for guests set it up through our hotel standby vehicle service.
Jebel Jais day trippers from Dubai, usually a single ten hour booking, with somebody else driving the mountain road in both directions.
Wedding parties, at the Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi Desert and the island resorts, needing several vehicles timed to arrive in sequence.
Conference and MICE delegations, arriving around an event date, often on several flights, needing one vehicle scheduled around the last landing.
Corporate visitors to the free zone and the industrial areas, who need the margin built into the pickup time before the traffic on the E311 decides it for them.
International arrivals from the emirate’s growth markets. The tourism authority reported 2025 growth of 20 per cent from Russia, 19 per cent from China, 14 per cent from India and 10 per cent from the UK. Our chauffeurs speak English and Arabic, which is worth knowing when you are arranging transport for guests arriving from several countries.
Long Term and Monthly Chauffeur Hire
Companies with ongoing work in the northern emirates are better served by a standing arrangement than by repeat enquiries.
One roster, set once. Give us the pattern and the pickup points and the run repeats without anybody rebooking it each week.
The same chauffeur where possible, which matters more on this route than in a city, because a driver who knows the E311 run and the Jebel Jais road saves time on every trip.
Settled as one account, with journeys billed together. Monthly rates depend on the vehicle, the hours and the mileage pattern, so they are quoted on the arrangement and we do not publish a figure we would have to caveat. Our monthly car rental with driver page covers the terms.
How to Book a Car With Driver in Ras Al Khaimah
- Send the day. The date, the pickup point and time, and either the places you want to see or the addresses you need to reach. For a Jebel Jais day, send any activity bookings and their times.
- Tell us the party and the luggage. Passenger count, cases, and anything oversized. The luggage figure decides the vehicle on this route.
- Approve the written rate. You receive the vehicle, the block of hours, the total, the overtime rate and anything route specific before anything is assigned.
- Receive the confirmation. By email, with the vehicle named and the timings set.
- Travel. Your chauffeur reaches the pickup point ahead of the booked time, and you have a direct number if the day moves.
